This Privacy Policy explains how Sigma5, Inc. (“Sigma5,” “We,” “Us”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit sigma5.io, contact Us, or use Our data room (together, the “Site”).

Information We collect

Information you give Us. When you contact Us through the Site or by email, We receive your name, email address, and the contents of your message. When We invite you to Our data room, We hold your name, email address, and the groups that decide which materials you can see; if your account has a password, We store it only in hashed form.

Information collected automatically. When you use the Site, We and Our analytics providers collect information about your visit, such as the pages you view, the page that referred you, your browser and device type, your IP address and the approximate location it suggests, and the times of your visits. For data room accounts, We also record when you were invited and when you last signed in.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies and similar browser storage:

• Sign-in cookie. When you sign in to the data room, We set a cookie that keeps you signed in. The data room does not work without it.
• Analytics. Google Analytics and PostHog set cookies or use local storage to count visits and understand how the Site is used.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics. Blocking analytics does not affect how the Site works.

How We use information

• To respond to your inquiries and correspond with you.
• To operate the data room: to send you invitations and sign-in links and to show you the materials shared with you.
• To understand how the Site is used and to improve it.
• To keep the Site secure and to prevent misuse.
• To comply with the law and enforce Our Terms of Use.

How We share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that run the Site on Our behalf, under terms that limit their use of it:

• Vercel, which hosts the Site.
• Supabase, which hosts Our database.
• Amazon Web Services, which stores and delivers files.
• Resend, which sends Our sign-in and invitation emails.
• Google, which provides Google Analytics and stores contact form submissions.
• PostHog, which provides product analytics.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of Sigma5 or others, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of all or part of Our business.

How long We keep information

We keep contact messages for as long as We need them to follow up with you, and data room accounts for as long as you have access to the data room. We delete or anonymize information when We no longer need it, unless the law requires Us to keep it longer.

Your choices and rights

You can ask Us to tell you what personal information We hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it by writing to info@sigma5.io. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and We will honor requests as that law requires. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

Security

We protect information with measures such as encryption in transit, access controls, and sign-in links that expire. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 16, and We do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given Us information, contact Us and We will delete it.

International visitors

Sigma5 is based in the United States, and Our service providers process information in the United States. If you use the Site from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When We do, We will change the updated date above, and if the changes are material We will take reasonable steps to let you know.
